The Church of God is essential. Gospel Tabernacle Church, Bronx is open for the saving of souls, the building of lives, and the making of disciples of men and women for Christ.
Our Commission
To go and make disciples everywhere, sharing the Gospel, baptizing believers in the name of Jesus, teaching God’s Word, and equipping people to live faithfully for Christ—empowered by the Holy Spirit and confident that Jesus is with us always.

Meet our Bishop

A native of Portland, Jamaica, Bishop Franklyn V.A. Williamson gave his life to Christ at fourteen and was called to ministry at twenty. He holds degrees in Urban Education, Computer Science, and Systematic Theology, and serves as Senior Pastor of Gospel Tabernacle Church, Chairman and Vice President of Gospel Tabernacle Churches International, and Bishop of the New York State District. He and his wife, Evangelist Marcia Williamson, have served side by side for over twenty years.

When to arrive
Come 10–15 minutes early. You'll be greeted at the door and shown where to go.
Getting here
Take the 2 train to 219th Street and walk one block east to Barnes Avenue. Street parking surrounds the church if you drive.
What to wear
Come as you are. Some dress up, many keep it casual — you'll fit right in either way.
